Unitree EDU robotics platforms for South African schools, colleges and universities EDU .
From first boot to published research: real Unitree hardware for South African classrooms, colleges and labs. Budgeted in Rand, imported officially, supported by the people who set it up.
Four tracks, one fleet.
The same platforms scale from a school demo to a doctoral thesis. Pick the track and we spec the configuration.
The hardware the papers run on.
Full SDK access, low-level joint control, perception streams and sim twins. Sim-to-real RL, teleoperation and dataset work on G1 and Go2 EDU.
Mechatronics that survives teaching
Go2 EDU plus the Z1 arm covers locomotion, perception and manipulation practicals that map onto NATED and NCV outcomes. Python and C++ on one bench.
Z1 arm →The demo that fills a coding club
App control on day one, block coding next, Python when learners are ready. Safe-handling guidance ships with every unit.
Prove embodied AI before you buy the fleet.
Proof-of-concept programmes on Go2, G1 or B2: teleoperation data collection, integration trials and a clear path from pilot to deployment.

China made robots a school subject.
The world leader in robotics did not start on the factory floor. It started in Grade 3. A decade of curriculum mandates built the talent pipeline that now installs more robots than the rest of the world combined, and Unitree, the brand we distribute, is the export of that system.
The State Council's New Generation AI Development Plan puts AI and programming into primary and secondary schools as national strategy.
Information Science and Technology becomes a standalone compulsory course nationwide, with AI content embedded from age six.
Ministry of Education notice: every primary and secondary school teaching AI, from hands-on experience in early primary to AI project creation in senior high.
Beijing requires a minimum of 8 class hours of AI per year in every grade. Hangzhou, home of Unitree, mandates 10. Grade 3 covers AI basics; Grade 5 covers agents and algorithms; high school builds robotics projects.
The AI + Education Action Plan makes AI a basic public course at universities and targets AI literacy across every education stage.

SA has the subject.
Now it needs the hardware.
Coding and Robotics is a gazetted CAPS subject for Grades R to 9 since June 2024, with robotics skills as one of its five study areas. But rollout is optional and capacity-dependent from 2026, and South Africa produces about 32,000 key STEM graduates a year against China's 3.5 million. The gap does not close with worksheets. It closes with real robots in real classrooms.
Go2 demos map onto the robotics-skills study area from Grade 4; block coding first, Python when learners are ready.
Every school order ships with orientation material, safe-handling guidance and the official Unitree learning resources. We help where we can.
The same ecosystem scales from a coding club to TVET benches to the G1 research platforms SA universities publish on.

A Go2 EDU-U1 that grows from app lessons and block coding into first Python, plus the spare battery and the self-charging mat it supports. Charging mat works with Go2-X and EDU models.
The Go2 EDU-U2 tier with full SDK, a spare long-life battery and the charging mat. Enough runtime for a full prac day.
Go2 EDU locomotion, LiDAR perception and a 6-DOF arm on one bench: the full mechatronics syllabus in hardware.
The compact R1 in its EDU configuration with full SDK access, plus the spare battery we recommend with every robot: one pack charges while the other teaches.
The G1 EDU-U2 (extended DOF, full SDK) paired with the PICO VR kit: the teleoperation and demonstration-data setup, priced as one order.
Our university recommendation for hands research: the G1 EDU-U6 with tactile five-finger hands, plus the PICO kit for demonstration capture.
How departments get from unboxing to research.
Your robot arrives with orientation material covering safe handling, batteries and the e-stop drill. We are a call away for setup questions.
Cohorts start in Isaac Sim or MuJoCo twins: same API, zero risk to hardware.
High-level locomotion API in Python, then ROS 2 nodes on the native DDS bus.
LiDAR mapping, vision pipelines and person-following on live sensor streams.
Joint-level control, RL policies sim-to-real, and the write-up. We stay on call.
Built for university and government purchasing.
Education, answered.
