About the platform

The Unitree Go2 is a compact, agile quadruped robot platform that spans consumer hobbyist tiers through to high-end research and development. At 15 kg with up to 10 kg payload capacity, the Go2 operates indoors and outdoors across slopes up to 40°, with speeds reaching 3.7 m/s on the EDU variants.

The range covers two market segments: Consumer (Air, Pro) for enthusiasts and demonstrations, and Education / Research (X, EDU-U1 through U4) with secondary development support, Jetson-based compute expansion, and advanced perception sensors including Intel RealSense, Livox, and Hesai LiDAR.

How much does the Unitree Go2 cost in South Africa? +

The Unitree Go2 ranges from R 33 999 to R 238 999 ex VAT across 7 configurations, available to order online from MCM Robotics, the official Unitree distributor for South Africa.

What does shipping and import cost for the Unitree Go2? +

Per unit: international air freight R 11 999, import and customs clearance R 5 000 (cleared by our Fedclear agents), and local delivery anywhere in South Africa R 4 500. VAT of 15% is added on the full amount at checkout.

How do I order the Unitree Go2 online? +

Choose a configuration in the configurator, add it to your order and check out — no card needed. You receive a formal EFT invoice with bank details; your order number is the payment reference. Full payment confirms your order and starts procurement.

How long does Go2 delivery take in South Africa? +

Expected delivery is 4 weeks to 4 months from payment confirmation, subject to Unitree manufacturer capacity. We deliver to all nine provinces, with customs clearance handled for you.

What warranty does the Unitree Go2 carry? +

Warranty is 6 months / 12 months depending on configuration, administered by Unitree with claims facilitated locally by MCM Robotics, including first-line South African support.

Which Go2 models work with the Charging Mat? +

The Charging Mat works with the Go2-X and all Go2 EDU models (EDU-U1 to EDU-U4), which have the required foot sensor and charging-pile support. The Go2 Air and Go2 Pro are not compatible, but both accept the Long-Life Battery upgrade.

What is the difference between Go2 Air, Pro and X? +

The Go2 Air is the entry consumer model (2.5 m/s). The Go2 Pro adds 4G, voice interaction, lighting and accompanying mode (3.5 m/s). The Go2-X unlocks secondary development at 3.7 m/s — the entry point for research, with EDU models adding Jetson compute and depth or LiDAR sensing.

Can I program the Go2 for research? +

Yes — the Go2-X and all EDU configurations support high- and low-level secondary development with Isaac SIM simulation support. EDU models add on-board Jetson compute from 40 to 100 TOPS and an Intel RealSense D435i depth camera.
