These terms govern your use of this website. They sit alongside our Terms of Sale and Product Safety Notice. Part B is our privacy notice under POPIA.

Part A. Website terms of use
1. About this website
This website is operated by MCMCO CC, trading as MCM Robotics, an official Unitree Robotics distributor for South Africa. By using the site you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Information is a general guide
- Content on this site is provided for general information. Product specifications, images, videos, availability and prices can change without notice, and prices move with the ZAR to USD exchange rate.
- Videos and images show trained operators working in controlled conditions. Do not attempt to copy what you see without proper training. Nothing on this site is a safety instruction for your own use; the Product Safety Notice and the manufacturer manual are.
- Nothing on this site is professional, legal or engineering advice, and using the site does not create an advisory relationship. For a firm price and specification for your situation, ask us for a quotation.
3. Intellectual property
The design, text, graphics and layout of this site are owned by MCM Robotics or used with permission. Unitree, product names and related marks belong to their respective owners. You may view and share links to our pages, but you may not copy, reproduce or reuse the content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, or using it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend access where use threatens the security or integrity of the site.
5. Links and availability
The site may link to other websites that we do not control, and we are not responsible for their content. We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we may change or withdraw parts of it at any time.
Part B. Privacy notice (POPIA)
This notice explains how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). It applies to the configurator, the request for pricing, the contact form, the checkout and order process, and any other place on the site where you give us information.
6. Who is responsible
The responsible party is MCMCO CC, trading as MCM Robotics, at Jura Lands, Beach Road, Hansmoeskraal, George, 6529. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@mcmrobotics.co.za or +27 44 878 2917.
7. What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, email address, telephone number, company name and VAT number, delivery address, order contents, intended application, and anything you write in an order note or message.
- Order and payment records: your order number, invoice, and confirmation that payment was received. We do not take or store card details on this site; payment is by EFT to our bank.
- Technical information: basic server logs needed to run and secure the site. The site uses only essential cookies, such as a session and security token; it does not run third party advertising trackers.
8. Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To prepare quotations, process and confirm your order, raise your invoice, and arrange import, customs clearance and delivery.
- To provide support, handle warranty claims, and keep the safety and handover records that responsible supply of this equipment requires.
- To communicate with you about your order and about safety updates, firmware notices or recalls.
- To meet our legal duties, including under the Consumer Protection Act, tax law, and safety and recall obligations.
We process this information to perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in running the business safely and keeping proper records.
Providing this information is voluntary. However, we need it to prepare a quotation, conclude a sale, and arrange import and delivery. Without it we cannot process your order.
9. Who we share it with
We share personal information only as needed to fulfil your order and run the business: with our freight and customs clearing agents to import and deliver your order; with the manufacturer where needed for warranty, parts or a safety recall; with our bank to reconcile your payment; and with trusted service providers who host or support our systems. We require them to protect the information. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
10. Sending information outside South Africa
Some suppliers, including the manufacturer, are outside South Africa. Where we transfer personal information across a border, for example to arrange a warranty claim, we do so only as POPIA allows and only to the extent needed for that purpose.
11. How long we keep it
We keep order, invoice, warranty and safety records for as long as needed to support the product and to meet our legal, tax and safety obligations. Safety, handover and defence records for a robot may be kept for several years after the sale, because they may be needed to answer a product safety claim. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
12. How we protect it
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse, including access controls and secure hosting. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to act quickly if a security incident occurs.
13. Your rights
- You may ask what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or update it.
- You may ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
- You may object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where we relied on it, without affecting processing already carried out.
- To exercise any of these, contact us at info@mcmrobotics.co.za. We may need to confirm your identity first.
14. Complaints to the regulator
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal information, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa), website www.inforegulator.org.za, complaints email POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za, general enquiries enquiries@inforegulator.org.za. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first, so please contact us before you do.
